The Georgia Judicial Qualification Commission (JQC) is a state agency established in 1972 to promote public confidence in the judiciary. The JQC is responsible for investigating complaints alleging misconduct regarding alleging judicial misconduct, including unethical behavior, conflicts of interest, and violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct. If evidence of misconduct is found, the 15 members of the JQC can recommend disciplinary action ranging from a reprimand to removal from office.
